Disposal of Ni-Cd batteries

Most of the responsibility rests with us as the distributor of Kowalski Torches in the UK, to dispose of the batteries in the proper manner. Any Ni-Cd batteries that we remove from Kowalski torches will be disposed of in accordance with the requirements of the law. This also involves seeking to meet the strict recycling targets set by the law and using only authorised recycling centres. We are already doing this.

There are, however, circumstances where a Kowalski user simply wishes to dispose of the whole torch, or simply the batteries. Many of the UK wide recycling centres will have the facility to recycle these batteries but we would advise you to check specifically for their ability to process Ni-Cd batteries. If your local recycling centre does not have these facilities, you may return the batteries to us for safe disposal.
